Grok Bot, dots and Duet: who does what
The real decision for leaders is what it may do without asking you first.

Grok Bot, meet Duet. Duet, meet dots. dots, meet Grok Bot.
An assistant that keeps working while you're away is now a normal product, not a moonshot. The real decision for leaders is what it may do without asking you first.
Anthropic launched Claude Duet last week. One agent per person, with its own computer in the cloud, so your laptop can be off. It checks your accounts every few hours. It's designed to show you and wait for your ok before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything.
Their safety post goes further. Some things are off-limits even if you say yes: trading shares, moving money between accounts, touching someone else's account.
Then there's approval fatigue. Anthropic says it plainly: too many requests and people learn to tap through them. That's the real design problem now. Ask too little and it's risky, ask too much and nobody reads it.
Grok Bot turned up in August. OpenAI's dots in September. Engadget says Anthropic is "late to the party."
It's no secret I've been using Grok Bot since it launched. Swipe through to see how the three stack up.
Anthropic admits Duet may misjudge what's urgent. Fair. So do I, most Mondays.
It's a US waitlist for now, so I'll wave from Melbourne.
